  I found this dentist near my new home... after looking at the reviews I decided to have a toothache taken care of here. But once I arrived and got checked in, I found out that they were out of network. So naturally I declined to be treated there. Somehow in between the finding out I was fully covered and leaving, a "cleaning" appointment was made roughly 6 weeks out (no reminders it seems). However, once I found out I was out of network, I told the receptionist I did not want to be treated there. The receptionist told me several times that it would ONLY be out of pocket about $30-40. I again declined and got out of there. By the time I got home, I was getting text messages from them to give them a rating. I finally sent "STOP" to stop the text messages.
  Today I arrived home to a bill for $52 for a missed appointment. REALLY!?! I guess they didn't think I was serious when I said I did not want to be out of pocket just to be treated there. So BEWARE, you will get charged for a missed appointment even if you clearly state you do not want to pay out of pocket.
  It's a nice place... I just don't care to pay out of pocket and somehow they STILL manage to bill me for something.
